A vibrant study in rhythm and color, this painting is my contemporary reproduction of Vincent van Gogh’s Irises in the Field. I was drawn to the sweeping, blade-like leaves and the contrast of deep indigo blooms against the warm, terracotta earth, with a single pale iris holding its own quiet light. Working in thick, expressive strokes, I followed Van Gogh’s energetic mark-making while allowing my own hand to guide the movement and layering of color. The result is both homage and reinterpretation—a chance to step into his garden for a moment and feel the same restless, joyful intensity in paint.
